Sabra Lovejoy

Born in Lubbock, Texas to artist parents, Sabra Sowell moved to Pawhuska, Oklahoma at the age of 2 were she grew up participating in 4-H, playing sports, photographing nature, observing insects, gardening, acting and fishing. 

She attended the University of New Mexico where she attained an M.F.A. in studio arts. Her teaching career began in 1996 as a college professor and progressed over time to teaching elementary and now junior high and high school. 

She met and married her husband in Ojo Sarco, New Mexico. She then became Sabra Sowell-Lovejoy. They had 2 boys, Malcom and Mylo Lovejoy. Her husband passed away in 2010. She and her two children moved to Campo in 2016. Malcom and Mylo are involved in many activities which keeps her very busy.

Ms. Lovejoy teaches middle school and high school social studies, history, and middle school math. She drives the sports bus and coaches middle school track. 

Her hobbies include making art, gardening, and raising sheep, various birds, horses, cows and other animals. When she has a rare moment to relax she enjoys watching sports and documentaries.
