Sabra Lovejoy

In 1970, I was born in Lubbock, Texas and grew up in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. I moved to New Mexico in 1988 to attend college where I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. My teaching career began at the University of New Mexico in 1996. I continued to work for UNM until 2013. I have two awesome boys, Malcom and Mylo Lovejoy.

We moved to Campo, Colorado from New Mexico in 2016. The school and community with their support and kindness have been a Godsend. I look forward to sharing my interests and skills with the students of Campo as they share their knowledge, thoughts and ideas.

I enjoy making art (my other career), spending time with my many animals (dog, cats, horses, sheep, cows, chickens, and turtles), working in the garden, playing and watching sports (Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma City Thunder, Kansas City Royals, and college-Oklahoma State University Cowboys) reading interesting books, building objects, exploring outdoors (camping, hiking, looking at stuff) and learning about history and the human thought processes (I’m a nerd.).
